4. Information on ferrules and rolling elements: ferrules and rolling elements are usually made of high carbon chromium bearing steel. Most of the bearings use SUJ2 in JIS steel. Large bearings use SUJ3.
The chemical composition of SUJ2 has been standardized as a bearing material in various countries around the world. For example, it is the same kind of steel as AISL52100 (USA), DIN100Cr6 (West Germany), BS535a99 (UK).
Further, in the case of impact resistance, chrome steel, chrome molybdenum steel, nickel chrome molybdenum steel, and carbon hardening are used as bearing data to make the steel have a softening layer from the appearance to the proper depth. The carburized bearing with appropriate softening depth, fine structure, suitable hardness and core hardness has excellent impact resistance compared to the bearing bearing steel, and the chemical composition of the individual carburized bearing steel. In addition to the above-mentioned steel grades, high-speed steel excellent in heat resistance and stainless steel excellent in corrosion resistance are used depending on the particular use.
